From our initial phone conversations to the dreamy engagement session, Elise and Michael were absolute dream clients. Documenting their wedding was wonderful and seamless. Griffith Woods is a gorgeous redwood grove nestled in the center of wine country (Sonoma County). Elise, owner of Brannan Events + Floral Design, styled the entire wedding despite it being her special day! The thoughtful attention to detail and aesthetic did not go unnoticed nor undocumented!

Michael & Elise met at the gym back in late 2013 when Mike opened up with the very smooth line of "I like your pants." They began hanging out, becoming inseparable, and the rest as they say is history!

After 9 months of dating Michael popped the question at one of Elise's favorite places, Disneyland! They were on the Ariel's Grotto ride and in the traveling clam, among the signing animals and willow trees, when he asked her to marry him!

"Elise is a wedding planner and florist so when she and Mike began designing their wedding they worked out the most important aspects for them! Photography was at the top of their list and that's why it was a no-brainer when they decided to have the artistic and passionate Kathryn Rummel of Kreate Photography capture all of their important moments.

Elise always envisioned a lush intimate wedding surrounded by breath taking redwoods, (and they of course they wanted their pooches, Daisy and Carli by their side). When they found Griffith Woods they fell in love with the moss covered bridges, the endless greenery and unique photo spots. They knew they'd be getting married there! Elise wanted a timeless color palette that would stand out amidst the green setting so she chose blush, berry and sage with pops of gold and champagne.

Elise wanted to bring a lot of unique and personal details into every aspect of her wedding! She paid homage to her father (who passed away in 2013 of pancreatic cancer) by hand embroidering one of his handkerchiefs for Michael. They also saved him a front row seat at the wedding with a hand blasted mirror placard made by the groom. They also chose the fight song for her dads Alma Mater, Stanford, as their recessional song (All Right Now by Free). Her veil was handmade by her mother and the unique shutters that she used as her place card holders, used to hand on the windows of her grandmothers house!

White & pink peonies, peach roses and berry ranuculus were the stars of the floral show! The wedding was also over flowing with eucalyptus, which is the brides' favorite green to use in arrangements in bouquets. Rather than favors the bride and groom opted to have an Italian Gelato Cart greet their guests with a sweet treat before the ceremony! Everyone loved that they could get something yummy before the "I Do's"!

A draped stage was the setting for the sweetheart table which was accompanied by a vintage tufted settee that has been in the brides family for decades! Their pups joined them throughout their whole celebration bringing lots of love and kisses to all of their guests in their adorable flower collars!

This romantic redwood affair is definitely one for the books and will leave you wanting more!"
