Intimate at home engagement session // Bay Area Lifestyle Photographer

Oh heyyyyy :) I felt inspired to share this right away because I LOVE at-home sessions. Engagements, family, maternity, lifestyle…you name it. Why? Because when people are at home they are at ease. They are comfortable. Everything feels familiar even if being photographed doesn’t. These two had a particularly gorgeous home in the Oakland hills and we had a blast. They were all about rosé and chilling on the couch. They even baked some cookies for the party they were having later in the evening! This was a “mini-engagement session” which means they are shorter sessions around 30-40 minutes. When my couples and clients are comfortable, it is amazing what great images you can create in such a short amount of time!

Melody + Michael // Muir Woods + Muir Beach Engagement Session - Bay Area Photographer

Us Bay Area folks live close to some iconic locations that never get old. From the ancient redwoods and fresh water creeks in Muir Woods, down the ocean the sits below it. Oh, and a pit stop off of HWY 1 because I could not help myself with the fog rolling in! Melody + Michaels engagement session was filled with laughter, gusts of chilly ocean air and conversations about their wedding next summer. We had such a blast. If you ever have questions about how to be more at ease during an engagement session - I have some fabulous pointers (see featured blog post about an authentic engagement session).

Ashley + Chad // Dreamy Lands End + Sutro Baths Engagement Session // San Francisco Photographer

Friends since high school, and friends for life. Oh, and engaged and in love! We had a wonderful start to this engagement session as the sun started painting the cypress trees at Lands End. We poked around the Point Lobos area and headed down to Sutro Baths at dusk.

I met Ashley and Chad at a wedding I photographed in Sonoma last October (she was the MOH!). I love when new clients come my way from past clients. It is so wonderful to work with entire communities and groups of friends. It results in such a rich experience, both creatively and emotionally. I cannot wait for their wedding in Cloverdale this summer! Cheers to these two.

(Style Guide: They rocked Madewell & JCrew for their casual looks, and Revolve for their beach look :))
