Your wedding planning journey is also a reflection of your relationship, personalities and what you value as a couple.
As a top Napa Wedding Photographer Team, we understand how pivotal it is that every stage reflects the essence of you and what you care about.
Your Wedding Photography experience should embody warmth, ease, and collaboration, leaving no room for stress.
But, you also want your wedding photography experience to feel comfortable - alongside someone who puts you at ease, works seamlessly with your other vendors and community, radiates positivity, and captures your joy.
6 Things to Keep in Mind When Hiring Your Wedding Photographer
01 Choose a Style Aligned With Your Vision
Photography is deeply personal, and selecting someone whose style aligns with your vision is important.
Every wedding photographer offers a distinct approach (or lack thereof), and finding the one that captures your day as you wish to remember it is key.
So ask yourself, what are you attracted to? What do you CARE about? what personality type feels right?
At Kreate Photography, our aesthetic is built around natural beauty and real expressions.
But, we also believe that guiding our couples through a flawless experience that feels comfortable
02 Experience is Crucial
A wedding day is dynamic and full of fleeting moments. And, after almost two decades photographing weddings - it’s critical to know that unexpected things can happen, and who you hire needs to be more than a great photographer.
Having a photographer with the right blend of experience and intuition can make all the difference.
We bring years of expertise in capturing the complexities and spontaneities of weddings, ensuring every detail is preserved in a way that feels effortless and genuine.
As creative as I am, I’m also practical and I’m a plan B and C kind of gal. We are never unprepared for the unexpected.
03 Building a Connection
Your comfort with your photographer is crucial. We believe in fostering a connection that makes you feel seen and understood, enhancing the ease and enjoyment of your special day. And trust me — it’s translates on camera.
Our commitment is to be more than just photographers; we are storytellers and confidants, dedicated to making your day as seamless as possible.
Lastly this is NOT your job. Your photographer should also be a professional business person that knows how to create a positive client journey. Your main job is to enjoy the process!
04 Understand the Value and Scope of Your Investment
Investing in high-end wedding photography ensures that your day is preserved as a visual story, and your experience is natural and positive all around.
It’s important to understand what your investment entails—coverage time, number of photographers, and special session inclusion like engagement shoots.
It’s also very important to take into consideration experience and reputation (this goes for your planner, as well!).
We offer tailored packages to meet diverse needs and preferences, ensuring clarity and satisfaction for everyone we work with.
05 Understanding what Wedding Photography Really costs
The wedding photography experience is countless hours for a professional photographer. From the initial consult, engagement session planning, the engagement shoot and commute, the post production, the pre-wedding consultations, the actual wedding day, and 10+ hours of editing and gallery curation post wedding.
Other factors that influence cost are coverage hours, deliverables, additional events, and most importantly: experience and reputation! Photographers with extensive experience or a renowned reputation charge premium rates.
We understand the world has gotten more expensive, inflation affects everyone and budgets are real. But, it’s critical couples understand how much time and energy we put into the entire process!
Since the pandemic, there have been an influx of new, inexperienced planners in the Bay Area wedding industry who do not understand professional rates and have been lowering the bar through misinformation and lack of experience: also do research on the planner you hire!
The average cost of wedding photography in Sonoma Napa Wine Country is $7000 -12,0000 and the average cost of photography in SF is $5000-10,0000 💖
