Why I love photography - Being a photographer allows me to tell stories, create connections and tell your unique story.
I have two kids, and they are my life.
As a former doula, I am passionate about all things family and children. I'm the youngest of 4 girls, my dad always wanted a boy but he got all girls instead, and I was the first one to give him a grandson :)
I'm an open book, I love helping others and talking about life experiences. We all have so much more in common than we realize.
I was born and raised in Brazil, moved to California when I was 17, and didn't know a word of English.
MEET SARAH
I'm Sarah: Bay Area-based photographer! I'm a natural-born optimist, and I literally smile behind the camera! I believe in finding joy in the everyday, that real emotions are better than perfectly posed, and that less is more.
I freak out (in a good way!) over white walls, whimsical details, and pops of color. I overuse exclamation points (sorry, not sorry), have a strange obsession with farm animals (how are llamas so weirdly cute?), and could eat brunch every day of the week!

I've also been a critical care nurse for 12 years, and I love how I get to combine both my creative and analytical brains with my work! Plus you'd be surprised how much nursing and photography have in common (ask me about it sometime)!
You can bet that I'll do my best to get to know the real you and that I won't be afraid to make a fool of myself trying to get you to laugh! That split second when you forget that you're being photographed and just react is the moment where the magic happens.5 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ME:
I'm also a critical care nurse and am used to working under pressure and challenging circumstances. I tell my couples that because of my critical care background I'm super organized nothing stresses me out.
Kind of obsessed with dogs (and pets) since we've adopted our pit bull, Spruce.
I love adventure and travel! I've bicycled across the country and sailed around the world (among other adventures!) My favorite place in the world so far is Patagonia (Argentina/Chile), and a close second is Tanzania and the Serengeti.
I'm obsessed with bright colors and whimsical details!
I watch The Office on repeat! Bonus points if you know some Michael Scott quotes ;)

Brandi has an incredible ability to make people feel comfortable quickly. Couples who normally feel awkward in front of the camera often walk away saying the experience felt more like spending time with an old friend than being photographed.
