As a Sonoma wedding photographer, there are certain locations that simply take your breath away—Montage Healdsburg is one of them. I had the absolute joy of capturing Elizabeth and Daniel’s engagement session at this stunning property, and it was nothing short of magical.
Elizabeth and Daniel are getting married in October 2025 at Montage Healdsburg with a heartfelt ceremony at a nearby private estate, coordinated by the incredible team at Distinct Locations. With views like this and a story like theirs, I knew their engagement photos needed to reflect not just the scenery, but their ten-year love story rooted in friendship, community, and connection.
We chose earth tones with a soft touch of blush and pink to complement the natural beauty of the landscape—sun-drenched vineyards, oak trees, and sun-faded hills that stretch into the distance. Their outfits were intentionally relaxed to match the easy, joy-filled energy between them. The goal? Images that feel like them—casual, connected, and timeless.
Timing this shoot for golden hour meant we could take full advantage of the best lighting throughout the property—areas that are often in direct sun earlier in the day transformed into warm, glowy pockets of light. From the modern architecture to the vineyard views, Montage Healdsburg truly shines during sunset. The result? Effortless, luxurious, and luminous portraits that tell their story without a word.
